Not yet held. Polling points to a close race for the Abgeordnetenhaus (Berlin's state parliament), which has at least 130 seats, 78 of them directly elected by constituency.
Not yet held. Pre-election polling has consistently placed the AfD in first place (around 34%, nearly double its 2021 result), well ahead of the governing SPD under Minister-President Manuela Schwesig.
The CDU (31.0%) became the largest party for the first time since 1991, ending 35 years out of power, as the governing SPD (25.9%) suffered its worst-ever result in the state. The AfD scored a record 19.5%. Gordon Schnieder (CDU) became minister-president.
The AfD, led by Ulrich Siegmund, won the most votes and seats (43.9%, 39 of 83 seats) — the first time the AfD has become the largest party in any German state election. The governing CDU collapsed to 17.2% (15 seats, down from 40). The AfD fell short of the 42 seats needed for an outright majority, so government formation remained undecided as of the count.
